AAUW Jamestown Branch is partnering with Chautauqua Institution and the YWCA Jamestown for the 2nd Annual CHQ Book Read. The purpose of the book read is to help heal our divides and propel participants to be engaged citizens working towards a more inclusive and just society.
The common book selected is “Under the Skin: The Hidden Toll of Racism on American Lives and on the Health of Our Nation” by Linda Villarosa. Participants will also be invited to attend a free, live lecture at CHQ Institution with Villarosa on July 20! For more information – www.ywcajamestown.com/chqbookread
Our first AAUW Book Club meeting.
We were privileged to have the Author, Debora Madar, of Dark Riddle attend and sign our copies. We are reading another book by her Convergence in preparation for our December meeting.
