Equal Pay – Where are we now?
And what can we do to gain Pay Equity?
A presentation on AAUW’s research on Equal Pay, Tools to negotiate for better pay. An exploration of NYS’ Equal Rights Amendment (ERA)
This event will be recorded and broadcast on the radio or as a podcast by YWCA. We plan to invite League of Women Voters (LWV) members and perhaps HR reps from local companies.

2nd Annual CHQ Book Read
AAUW Jamestown Branch is partnering with Chautauqua Institution and the YWCA Jamestown for the 2nd Annual CHQ Book Read. The purpose of the book read is to help heal our divides and propel participants to be engaged citizens working towards a more inclusive and just society.
The common book selected is “Under the Skin: The Hidden Toll of Racism on American Lives and on the Health of Our Nation” by Linda Villarosa. Participants will also be invited to attend a free, live lecture at CHQ Institution with Villarosa on July 20! For more information – www.ywcajamestown.com/chqbookread

PURSE BINGO
Fundraiser for the AAUW Jamestown scholarship Fund at Chautauqua Regional Community Foundation (CRCF)
Join us at the American Legion in Lakewood, The fun starts at 6:00pm. Doors open at 4:00 pm Food and Beverages are available for purchase. For $30, participants can play 10 games of Bingo- each with its own purse/bag as the prize to the winner of that game. Additional Bingo tickets and also raffle tickets are sold at the event for 10-15 additional items like wallets etc. that are raffled off during the evening Our Goal is to sell 100-200 tickets to raise $2000 for our scholarship fund.
